BALBOA PARK COUPLES SHOOT

It’s funny how easy it is to take Balboa Park for granted. It’s perhaps the most popular photo spot in San Diego, it’s it’s been my most popular by far. I’ve done weddings, engagements, family portraits, model shoots, and children shoots in this park so it would be easy to be over it by now. But i’m not. It’s a blast finding new places to shoot at and is comforting already knowing over a dozen spots that are tried and true. I had an amazing time shooting and getting to know Devin and Hillarie yesterday afternoon. After hitting up my favorite spot for some headshots we went over to a section with some amazing cherry blossom trees that I’ve never shot at before and am so glad i did. Here’s some favorites from the day.

After the shoot I had to do my homework for the photography class I help teach, our job was to photograph texture, here’s what I came up with.

THIS IS A NEW YEAR. A NEW BEGINNING. AND THINGS WILL CHANGE.

I’m excited for 2012 and a new beginning for First Kiss. If you haven’t noticed Tiffany Blue was so 2011. I’ve decided to switch my company colors to red and black, maybe watching Sin City inspired me to do so. I honestly wanted something bold so I made the move which you can see implemented already  on this blog and Facebook page.

Some exciting news to announce. I will be featured on Living Social this Monday so take advantage of a great package price, I’ll put the link up Monday morning. I’m hoping to raise enough to buy a certain new flagship camera Nikon recently announced:) Here’s their fancy little excerpt they wrote about my business:

“You’ve shared plenty of special smooches with your sweetie, but there’s nothing you remember quite like the first. Create some new memories with today’s deal: Pay $79 for an hour-long photo shoot, including a CD of high-resolution shots and a print release for all images, from First Kiss (a $350 value). Choose among five scenic locations in the area, and let First Kiss’s personable shutterbug Trevor Stolebarger — known for his stellar wedding work, but also experienced at shooting other special moments in a couple’s or family’s life — capture some stunning shots of you with your nearest and dearest. Close your eyes, get on your tiptoes, and snag this deal — we promise, the part that comes next will be utterly magical.”
